Besides Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam, a stop in Brussels is also on his list. With his latest album "The Forever Story", J.I.D plans to rock La Madeleine on Wednesday 12 April 2023. A product of 2.0 hip-hop and born in Atlanta, the genre's Valhalla in the early 2000s, J.I.D grew up listening to artists like Sly & The Family Stone, Earth, Wind & Fire and many others. Route originally tried a career in sports, but eventually turned to hip-hop, of which he is also a particularly big fan himself. Especially of the New York scene (Jay-Z, Nas, Mobb Deep...). His first EP "DiCaprio" was released in 2015 and two years later, in 2017, he released his first studio album "The Never Story". His talent cannot be ignored, with an unseen maturity in his sound and the skill with which he connects his flows. With influences of soul and funk from his youth, he delivers rock solid rap for his fans, hitting big and attracting the attention of experts. In 2018, "DiCaprio 2" follows, further highlighting his status as a revelation, with which he plays on stages around the world (including a tasted performance at Dour 2019). In February 2021, he will release "Skegee" to the world. A first single announcing his third album, which will eventually be released in August 2022. "The Forever Story", which has been hugely praised by critics, includes 15 strong tracks and almost as many featurings, featuring Lil Wayne, Kenny Mason and 21 Savage. The new album, which seems made to be played in front of a live audience, is something to look forward to and discover on 12 April at La Madeleine!
