Meet Turkish writer and journalist Asli Erdogan! The documentary Incomplete Sentences by Adar Bozbay opens the evening. Released in 2021, the film celebrates the courage, strength and resilience of this multi-awarded author between Turkey and Germany, where she now resides in exile. Asli Erdogan will take the Bozar stage for a conversation about her career, after the screening. Asli Erdogan is a writer, human rights defender, ex political prisoner as well as a particle physicist. She is the author of eight books, novels, novellas, collections of poetic prose and essays. In 2016, she was arrested for her collaboration with the pro-Kurdish newspaper Özgür Gündem. Adar Bozbay is an activist, writer and filmmaker with works focusing on feminist solidarity, Kurdish movements and LGBT+ rights. Incomplete Sentences is her first feature film.
