A neoclassical villa in Passy in 1858. This is where, on a Saturday evening, one could meet le tout Paris, gathered at one of Gioachino Rossini’s musical evenings. The least one can say is that those were anything but boring. Rossini paid as much attention to the gourmet food that he served as he did to the Italian and French works that were performed and parodied for his guests. These weekly meetings were also an opportunity to compose new melodies for the voice in a style quite different from his operas. The result is more than 150 pieces of chamber music divided into two series: Soirées musicales and Péchés de vieillesse. Soprano Nino Machaidze, tenor Enea Scala and baritone Vittorio Prato invite you to rediscover the atmosphere of these salons in an intimate and playful recital. A journey into the past to meet another Rossini. Attend this performance (and three others of your choice) with 25% discount thanks to our Vocalissimo subscription.
