Visiting a working windmill is a surprising adventure these days. It takes visitors back to a time when rural life, pre-industrial labor and means of production predominated. In the Brussels region, only the Luizenmolen, which dominates the green countryside from Neerpede to Anderlecht, is still in operation. It is a wooden mill on a pivot rebuilt identically and located on the very spot of the old Luizenmolen which disappeared in 1955. Its visit will allow you to see and understand the mechanism of a mill. traditional wind as well as the production of old-fashioned flour, if however the wind is the party on the day of your visit!
