A family stroll in Ixelles

Day 2: A family stroll in Ixelles

Your kids are going to adore the Museum of Natural Sciences, where you’ll feel really tiny next to all those gigantic dinosaurs. Just a stone’s throw from all your new dino friends, uncover the fascinating history of creation of the European Union at the House of European History. It’s a fun and interactive dive into the extraordinary experiment that is the EU.

The Children's Museum is specially designed for children aged 6 to 10. They can walk around freely, touch everything, and take part in cooking, reading or theatre workshops. It's impossible to get bored! Near the museum, drop in to Poki Poke or My Tannour for a unique gourmet break. And for those who love the classics, there are the burgers at RAMBO, Marcella's authentic pizzas and the organic chips of the Bintje chip bar.

Head to Cinquantenaire Park for a green break and spend the rest of the day in its tree-lined alleys and vast lawns. If you still have a craving for culture, the park is full of museums that house something for everyone: the impressive collections of the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History; Autoworld, which houses all kinds of legendary cars and racing cars; and, for history and antiquity buffs, the Art & History Museum is the capital's must-visit archaeological museum.
