The collective, artistic excellence, ethics of responsibility, critical thinking and cultural decentralisation are the foundations and conditions of the National Theatre. In May 2021, Pierre Thys was appointed General and Artistic Director of the Theatre. At a time of social, ecological and digital change, he is reexamining the sector's practices with a view to eco-responsibility and care, exchange and co-construction, circulation and celebration.
In figures, the theatre hosts more than 200 shows for more than 40 productions per season.
