The covered Les Abattoirs market in Anderlecht is the trendy new market in the southwest of Brussels. A major hub of commercial activity since 1888, the abattoirs have recently undergone a major renovation. Since 2015, producers and locals have been gathering in the food halls every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 to 14:00. At its stalls, you’ll find fish, meat (including halal meat), fruit and vegetables, cheese and other fresh products at very attractive prices. The stands offer an amazing variety of goods. For example, you can find a multitude of exotic products that are almost impossible to find in other markets in Brussels. On Sundays, a covered flea market takes over the old meat market building, offering you the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere of an authentic flea market.
With its architectural beauty and a bustling market, this market is well worth the detour. A magnificent setting for discovering products from Belgium and elsewhere!
