Europe Direct Brussels is an information and documentation centre about the European Union that allows direct contact between the European Union and the citizens of the Brussels-Capital Region.
- The Europe Direct Brussels team will guide you and help you with your research, and also has a large selection of specialised and free brochures available.
- If we are unable to provide you directly with the information you desire, we will be sure to direct you to the proper service.
- Do you want to teach about Europe? We offer free educational materials for all learning levels, including activity sessions and training courses about the European Union.
- In order to bring Europe and its citizens closer, we will be out there and present at various events and through the organisation of events that bring you closer to the European Union.
Representation of the European Commission in Belgium
Europe Direct Brussels is your main point of contact with the EU on a local level. It works in collaboration with the Representation of the European Commission in Belgium.

The Spanish Presidency of the European Union
Each member country of the European Union has its turn to preside over the Council of the European Union for a period of six months. Spain will be presiding over the Council of the EU from 1 July until 31 December 2023.

Next Generation EU (NGEU) is a temporary recovery instrument of more than 800 billion euro meant to help repair the immediate economic and social damages caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Designed specifically for students aged 10 to 12, this training session combines discussions, thinking and group activities about the topic of the European Union. Things such as its geography, history, functioning and especially its influence on our daily lives will be discussed, along with concrete examples that will wake students' interest and curiosity.

Educational session for years 5 and 6 of secondary education - In the Shoes of European Deputies
Through this activity, directly inspired by the role-playing game at the Parlamentarium, we invite your students to become European deputies and learn how to lead negotiations to build the future they want to see. Divided into imaginary political parties, participants will have to work together and make difficult decisions about topics such as water scarcity, for example, or the consequences of technological progress.
This is a chance to ensure that our young people see the importance of making themselves heard!

Europe in Brussels
Brussels is the capital of the European Union. As such, it is home to many institutions. You have certainly already seen the impressive Berlaymont (seat of the Commission) and Europa (seat of the Council) buildings, but the EU's presence in Brussels is also a multitude of office spaces for the various Directorates-General and EU services (translation services, IT, finance,...).
