Zijn naam is Boran, maar hij staat bekend als Boranaga. Op jonge leeftijd ontdekte hij zijn tekentalent door een tekening van Avicena uit een encyclopedie na te tekenen. Hij zette door om zijn talent te ontwikkelen en werd aangemoedigd door anderen om professioneel te gaan tekenen en er geld mee te verdienen. Boran werkte hard voor verschillende andere kunstenaars en academies en maakte onder andere boekillustraties, muurschilderingen en interieurprojecten. Na een tijdje ontdekte hij dat werken in opdracht zijn artistieke talent blokkeerde. Hij besloot toen om alleen nog voor zichzelf werk te creëren.
