Bright Festival

Created in 2017, Bright Festival is the light festival of the Brussels Region. Each year, the public's enthusiasm grows stronger, with national and international visitors attending in large numbers. The tourism office aims to spread the event's image and economic benefits across various neighborhoods. After Ixelles and the European Quarter, 2023 saw Schaerbeek join the event. The 2024 edition will be held under the banner of Belgium's European presidency. visit.brussels aims to further amplify the Bright Festival's reputation on the national and international stage to boost tourist attendance during a typically slow period for Brussels tourism. Since 2021, the festival calculates and compensates for its carbon footprint annually.
