This year's Bright Festival saw the launch of several major new additions to the programme.
- A Kids Zone opened a few hours before the festival, offered interactive, family-friendly activities for children.
- Bright Disco Night: an "after-party" organised in partnership with Pali Pali in the Ravenstein Gallery on Saturday evening, incorporated the light work on display into its luminous ambience.
- Bright Sessions, the festival's first B2B Forum, featured a full day of meetings, round tables, presentations and networking opportunities for nearly 100 lighting industry professionals, artists, event organisers, private partners and cultural representatives.
Tram Experience

The renewal of strategic partnerships and the establishment of new collaborations have strengthened the project's reach and long-term sustainability, while also ensuring a balanced budget. The Tram Experience has become a powerful driver of appeal and visibility for Brussels.
Fête de l'Iris
The 2024 Iris Festival was an opportunity to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the creation of the Brussels-Capital Region. This large-scale popular festival brought together all Brussels residents within their Region and invited visitors to come and enjoy the celebrations together, free of charge.
On Saturday, the Iris Festival in the Communes was the opportunity for many curious visitors to discover all the hidden secrets and gems in Schaerbeek, Evere and Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. The Art Nouveau trail in Schaerbeek, the Pieter Cnops museum in Evere and the culinary workshops in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode were particularly popular.
On Saturday evening, the Place des Palais was transformed into a giant dance floor for Iris Tipik Electro Night, with DJs Ofenbach, TRINIX, Alex Germys, Emjie and Raql. The evening was organised in partnership with RTBF (Tipik), which was responsible for the programme.
The following day, the heart of the Iris Festival moved to Brussels Park. With 7 themed villages, thousands of families enjoyed the original activities offered by Brussels' associations and institutions. Countless street artists also featured in the festivities, while not far away, the Brussels Parliament was packed with visitors.
This year, many other activities were organised over the weekend. From cycling and walking tours to guided tours of the European Quarter as part of Europe Day and the CurieuCity scientific event, there was something for everyone. Not forgetting Play Label Open Air on Place Poelaert and the open day at the Palais de Justice.
