Just a stone’s throw from the Grand-Place and the Manneken-Pis, let yourself be enchanted by the indulgent world of Planète Chocolat, an artisanal chocolate shop where tradition, expertise and passion come together. In the heart of the workshop, watch the master chocolatiers at work and discover the secrets behind crafting exceptional chocolate. Take part in a real ‘Chocolate Show’, an immersive experience during which the chocolatiers give you a behind-the-scenes look at their craft. You’ll learn in detail about the various stages involved in making Belgian pralines, from tempering the chocolate to removing them from the moulds, as well as the fascinating history of cocoa and the origins of chocolate, from its discovery to its evolution into one of Belgium’s greatest specialities. For an even more indulgent experience, you can book a Chocolate Workshop Experience. Guided by a master chocolatier, participants get hands-on experience making their own artisan pralines and take their creations home with them. Extend the experience in the shop by tasting and taking away the delicious artisan creations made on site. The Chocolate Shows take place every Saturday at 4 pm and Sunday at 3 pm (€10 per person), subject to availability and by booking; the Chocolate Workshop Experience is by booking only, at least two weeks in advance (groups of at least six people – from €41 per person). Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 11.00 am to 6.30 pm.
