Since the advent of hip-hop culture in the 80s, trainers have not only become the perfect partner for sportsmen and women, but also a coveted collector's item. So much so that, alongside the traditional retail stores that sell the models provided by the brands, a whole series of "resell stores" have sprung up in Brussels. These stores are run by trainer enthusiasts who get their hands on a wide range of models – often limited editions – and then resell them in their stores. We've tried and tested a number of these retail and resell stores. Follow us.

Supermarkett
Designed by Victor Destrebecq and located right in the town centre, Supermarkett stands out from other stores with its unique presentation. As its name suggests, the shop looks like a supermarket. The trainers are displayed on stalls usually used for oranges, cherries, tomatoes, apples... The supermarket vibe adds a friendly touch to the place, which is proud of its carefully curated selections, ranging from Jordan to Yeezy, Adidas, New Balance and even Crocs (but only their Crocs x Salehe Bembury Horchata series… don't push it!). There's also a selection of second-hand trainers on offer, too.
