On 3 October, the visit.brussels Film Commission, Screen Flanders and Wallimage Tournages will be hosting the second edition of the Film Partnership Forum. During this afternoon event, experts will share their practical knowledge of production and authorisation procedures, with a strong focus on collaboration and efficiency on the ground.
Film Partnership Forum 2025
Our aim
Our ambition is to strengthen ties between the audiovisual sector and government institutions by highlighting the advantages of opening up to film shoots: promoting locations, increasing visibility and generating positive economic benefits for hotels, restaurants and local service providers involved in production.
We also aim to:
facilitate the authorisation process,
share good practices,
and encourage efficient and sustainable partnerships.
Why?
Thanks to the success of Belgium's Tax Shelter scheme, regional economic funds and the involvement of film offices, Belgium is attracting more and more international productions. As a result, many institutions, both public and private are experiencing an increase in filming requests.
Obtaining the necessary authorisations can be complex. It requires careful coordination, planning and collaboration between multiple departments. Whether it's a court, hospital, heritage site, prison, port or public transport system, each shoot has specific safety and logistical requirements.
Against this backdrop, having a central point of contact within the institution is a key advantage: it facilitates communication, speeds up exchanges and harmonises decisions between the parties involved.
Who is this day for?
This day is aimed in particular at employees of (government) agencies who regularly deal with filming requests: ministerial departments, natural sites, transport operators, heritage sites, hospitals, prisons, cities, communes, police services, film offices, etc.
Whether you are already familiar with film shoots or still unsure about hosting audiovisual productions, you can expect a wealth of presentations, real-life case studies, inspiring speakers and countless opportunities for discussion.
Practical info
Speakers will present in their native language (Dutch or French). No simultaneous translation will be provided. Each presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
3 October 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00
