Hospitality plays a crucial role in tourist accommodations and information offices. It transcends customer service by being a voluntary initiative from the host, offering tourists services that exceed their expectations.
In Brussels, there are three prestigious titles in visitor hospitality:
- Les Clefs d’Or
- Brussels Expert
- Les Incollables
In Brussels, there are 16 Clefs d’Or® concierges working in 8 of Brussels’ luxury hotels. Les Clefs d'Or® is a global association of hotel concierges with around 4,000 members in over 80 countries and 530 destinations. They are easily recognisable by the crossed golden keys on their lapels. This elite group is dedicated to professional development and aims to set new standards of excellence in customer service. Every year, experts are trained by the Quality Academy of visit.brussels. This training includes various modules focusing on knowledge of key tourist quarters and tools to optimise hospitality. After 5 months of training, participants earn the Brussels Expert diploma.
