L’exil et les ombres Four dancers and a musician, all with backgrounds shaped by exile, invite us into a living ritual, exploring the traces left behind when we are forced to leave a country, a childhood, a home: traces etched into places and memories, traces that time cannot erase. Like the enduring shadow cast on a wall by someone who is no longer there, memory remains. It surfaces unexpectedly, bringing the bustle of the present to a brief halt. It settles into a gesture, the scent of coffee, a song in the distance, an inner rhythm that you carry with you wherever you go, like the home you have never entirely left behind. ماحلى خﯾالك [Beautiful Shadows] is the second production by Ahmed Ayed to be presented at Les Brigittines, following … And Nobody Else (2024).
