Just a stone's throw from place Bourse, this mythical venue dating back to the 1930s really began its glory days as a jazz club in the 1950s. Nestled in the heart of the Dansaert district, its Art Deco and intimate style makes it a place with a special and unmissable atmosphere in Brussels. Baixu

Comfortably set up in the cellars of Tour & Taxis, Baixu deploys its imagination to take us on a journey! First destination: Brazil, a country close to the heart of the founder, Martine Renwart. Baixu means "beautiful" in the language of the Pataxós Indians of South America. Imagined as a springboard for young artists, it also focuses on proximity by inviting local artists and developing projects with Brussels’ cultural institutions. Covering everything from classical to world music, the programme also includes some great jazz discoveries spiced up with Afro-Brazilian rhythms.
