IRISnet's primary mission is to provide a fast and user-friendly response to the needs of citizens, administrations and public entities in the Brussels-Capital Region.
For more than 20 years IRISnet - a trusted partner of the Brussels-Capital Region - has been deploying its own fibre optic broadband infrastructure to develop connectivity in the region and accelerate its digital transformation for the benefit of citizens and businesses.
At the IRISnet stand, discover regional projects that demonstrate IRISnet's capacity for innovation in the digitalisation of organisations and the lives of citizens:
- wifi.brussels reduces the digital divide in the Brussels-Capital Region by offering citizens and people travelling through the capital free access to Wi-Fi and new e-services.
- Fiber to the School - project to equip Brussels secondary schools with a high-speed internet connection. Launched in 2014 by IRISnet and Paradigm. To date, 180 Brussels secondary schools are connected to fibre.
- Branche ton école - a project that follows on from Fiber to the School. It's designed to accelerate the digital transition of Brussels secondary schools by deploying Wi-Fi in all Brussels secondary schools and offering digital equipment to pupils.
