Five artists were challenged to transform three performances - previously given at the MUTEK festival - into extended reality (XR) artworks, thereby forging a new genre of aesthetic experiences. The results combine abstract and figurative interpretations, spatialised sound design and radiant visuals and reveal the playful and persistent spirit of artists who venture into new terrain.
The works are Entanglement XR by France Jobin & Markus Heckmann, House of Moiré by Chloe Alexandra Thompson & Matthew Edwards (aesthetic.stalemate) and Immortelle by Line Katcho.
