What if, this Christmas, the world sang with one voice? On Saturday 12 December 2026 at 5 pm, AfriCulture Voices invites you to the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Koekelberg, Brussels, for the first edition of Noël des Mondes, a choral festival bringing cultures together. Eight vocal ensembles from Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders and different cultural communities will take you on a musical journey through Europe, Africa, the Americas and Asia. Each ensemble will share its languages, traditions and distinctive musical world in an exceptional setting. After discovering the ensembles, it is time to join in: the Grand Chœur Éphémère, a large pop-up choir, will bring together the invited choirs and registered participants for a collective finale, with the ambition of uniting up to 1,000 voices. Three songs will bring us together: - J’aime la vie - Sandra Kim, Belgium; - Shosholoza - a traditional South African song; - Douce Nuit / Silent Night / Stille Nacht - in French, English and Dutch. Would you like to sing with us? Whether you belong to a choir or simply sing for pleasure, you are welcome. No previous experience or ability to read music is required. Audio practice materials will be provided in advance, and a group rehearsal will help everyone feel ready for the finale. Register for the pop-up choir using this form: https://forms.gle/bd89AjbeqTYC5tS5A Discover the voices of the world, experience the joy of singing together and celebrate a Christmas that connects cultures and generations.
