Each year, the Queen Elisabeth Competition invites young people to discover the magic of classical music through a series of concerts in Brussels, Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve. During these recitals, laureates of the Competition share their passion, tell the story behind the works they perform, and offer the audience a unique musical experience. For many young listeners, these concerts are their very first encounter with the world of classical music. For the next series of young people’s concerts in March 2027, we have invited mezzo-soprano Juliette Mey, laureate of the 2023 Voice Competition. She will be accompanied by pianist Rodolphe Lospied. Juliette MeyShortly after her success at the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Juliette Mey also distinguished herself at the Voix Nouvelles Competition and the Victoires de la Musique Classique. Her young operatic career has already taken her to major European stages, as well as on concert tours with Les Arts Florissants as far afield as the United States and South America.Rodolphe LospiedPianist, harpsichordist and vocal coach Rodolphe Lospied works with numerous opera houses and orchestras and performs in recitals, chamber music concerts and ensembles.
