From October 15 to 17, come enjoy classical music, jazz, songs, and slam poetry composed by women composers from the 19th century to the present. Featuring young talents such as the duo Post-scriptum and Natasha Vew, this one-of-a-kind festival has a few surprises in store this year, including a special slam poetry evening and a lineup of promising female composers on the “springboard” stage. The 2026 Musique Femmes Festival will take place in the welcoming and unique setting of two iconic venues in Saint-Gilles: Cellule 133a and the Maison du Peuple. Leading up to the festival, a conference dedicated to Belgian female composers will be held in partnership with the Arthur de Greef Academy in Saint-Gilles and the Université des Femmes, as well as an open stage for young Brussels students from music academies on the morning of Saturday, October 17. Since its inception, the Musique Femmes Festival has partnered with CRIT (Asbl L’équipe), a network for social psychiatry.
