"FORGETTEN" Concert How do we move from oblivion to remembrance? Here is the programme for the opening concert of the 2026–2027 season of Concerts Escapades, following our participation in the Musique Femmes Festival #4. Who is familiar with Khachaturian, Schmitt, Tchaikovsky and Ysaÿe? An Armenian, a Frenchman, Tchaikovsky – whom you think you know – and the Belgian, Eugène. Aram Ilyich Khachaturian was from Moscow, but above all an Armenian and a composer. Boris Alexandrovich Tchaikovsky was from Moscow, Russian, and should not be confused with the very famous Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Florent Schmitt was French. Eugène Ysaÿe was Belgian, a violinist, born in Liège and died in Forest. He played a decisive role in the methodology of the Russian school of violin. Four composers from the 19th and 20th centuries, some well-known and others less so. Performed by the musical duo Gleb Gladkov (violin) and Flavien Casaccio (piano) in their new project entitled “The Forgotten”, inspired by the music of Karen Khachaturian, Florent Schmitt, Boris Tchaikovsky, Eugène Ysaÿe, and others.
