First times What goes on in a child’s mind and body just before a first time - a first step, a first word? Antes de… invites us to experience those moments of discovery, alongside two performers as they take the plunge, face their fears and dare to trust one another. Hand in hand and foot to foot, they take turns leading the dance, guiding each other forward. A celebration of discovery and the courage to take risks, Antes De playfully blurs the line between fear and illusion, inviting performers and audience alike to gently scare one another – or is it more than just an illusion? Tea Tree draws us into a poetic, playful and acrobatic world, where every step becomes an adventure. The performance was awarded the Minister for Children’s Prize at the 2026 Rencontres de Charleroi.
