Exactly one month before the official opening of Kanal-Pompidou, De Vaartkapoen presents the first edition of Bridging: a debate evening on the changing relationships between artists, curators and critics. Artists will formulate questions in advance about misunderstandings, tensions and blind spots in today’s art ecosystem. During the evening, curators, critics and artists will draw these questions from a box and discuss them together. Visitors can also anonymously share thoughts, questions or proposals through a contribution box in the Hangar hall. Between the conversations, projections and short artistic performances will add rhythm and surprise. Bridging is not a fixed format, but an open platform that grows with everyone who wants to think along, listen or contribute. The project creates space for encounter, dialogue and mutual understanding within the contemporary art sector. This first session is a test edition and marks the start of a longer trajectory of conversations, exhibitions, encounters and collaborations.
