At the first edition of the Musique Femmes Festival in 2023, Johanna Staruch-Smolec and Krzysztof Potocznik brought to life the first movement of a work that had long remained in the shadows: the Sonata for Violin and Piano by the Liège-based composer Henriette Van den Boorn-Coclet, which had by then been almost completely forgotten. They return this year to present a complete performance of the work, thereby continuing this endeavour to rediscover a precious musical heritage. Jazz in the second half! Winner of the Scène Tremplin 2025 competition, Natasha Vew will introduce the audience to the world of Toshiko Akiyoshi, a Japanese jazz pianist, composer and arranger, whose prolific international career has helped to renew the language of jazz.
