"Tapestries in Choreography presents recent works by Brazilian artist Dedéia Meirelles, marking her debut exhibition at BS Galleria in Brussels. Through an intuitive textile practice deeply rooted in the act of gathering, Meirelles transforms threads, wool, fabrics, natural fragments, and reclaimed materials into sculptural compositions that inhabit the space between tapestry and body. In her works, elements from diverse origins establish new connections. Textures, volumes, and woven structures intertwine like choreographed movements, forming organic landscapes in constant transformation. Each material retains traces of its previous history while becoming part of a new collective narrative. Like a silent choreography, the works invite viewers to navigate paths of matter and memory, celebrating the beauty of encounters, transformations, and the connections that bind us together. "
