Do you feel a bit lost when faced with the immensity of Brussels' tourist offer? Trust in the labels recognised by the Brussels-Capital Region. These certifications enable you to make informed choices and discover quality addresses.

It's your first time in Brussels and your friends and family have asked you to organise a tailor-made programme to suit everyone's tastes (Anne wants to try something 100% Brussels, David is coming by bike and Sarah is a committed environmentalist). Where should you stay? Where's best to eat? Where can you go shopping? So many questions, so many answers. To make an informed choice, we recommend you look for the Brussels labels. These cover a wide range of topics: accommodation, restaurants, shopping, etc. They are a guarantee of quality and highlight the values that Brussels holds dear, such as inclusiveness, sustainability, accessibility and know-how.

What are these labels? Which establishments do they include? We reveal all!

Good Food: eating sustainably

The Good Food label recognises eateries that have adopted eco-friendly approaches. These establishments work mainly with local and seasonal produce. They limit food waste, favour short supply chains and thus contribute to establishing a sustainable food supply in Brussels.

Access-i: accessible places and services

Access-i provides information on the accessibility of places and services for people with specific needs. The platform helps you prepare for your visit by answering questions such as: are the toilets adapted, is there a sign language tour or are the staff properly trained to welcome PRM? Many other criteria are also carefully reviewed, to provide you with all the information you need.

Sustainable Partners: environmentally and/or socially exemplary companies

Are you socially and ecologically conscious? Then this initiative should be of interest to you. The Sustainable Partners network brings together companies with eco-labels. They are committed to economic transition and are recognised as ‘exemplary’ in social and/or environmental terms. They are committed to greater sustainability in the capital and are working towards Brussels' objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

Green Key: environmentally conscious tourist facilities

The Green Key is an international eco-label. It is awarded annually to tourism facilities, hotels, bed and breakfasts, youth hostels, camp sites, conference centres and attractions, based on evaluation criteria rating overall environmental management, waste management, water, energy, green open spaces, food, environmental education, mobility...Through these criteria of excellence, the Green Key programme aims to promote sustainable development in tourism infrastructure.
