Discover this surprising oasis. Surrounded by the intense traffic of cars, trams and trains, the little chapel of Stalle has stood here since the 15th century. A modest but beautiful stone building with a basilica plan, so laid out length-wise. Above the entrance is the statue of Our Lady of the Afflicted. In the Middle Ages, locals worshipped the Virgin of the Afflicted, who was supposed to relieve misery, and Saint Roch, who was invoked against epidemics. Today, we could say Saint Pfizer has taken over that role.
