Today, the chaussée de Mons acts as Cureghem’s commercial backbone. In medieval times, however, this was the road that connected Brussels with the pilgrimage site of Halle and the city of Mons. On antique maps, you will see this road designated as the ‘chaussée de Paris’. If you enjoy Lebanese food, you will be sure to find something to your liking here. Or proceed along the street to one of the many kebab and pita sellers. There is also a Belgian chip shop a little further on!
