A bronze dancer by Nicole Lefebvre (1993). Mudra evokes the dance school created by Maurice Béjart in Brussels in 1970 to support his company, Ballet of the 20th Century. Thanks to this school, Brussels enjoyed a great international reputation in the art of choreography. This is undoubtedly what the sculpture suggests. The dancer is reaching for the sky, as if to remind us that the language of dance tends towards the universal. A bit like gangnam style.
