This unique corner building in steamship style was designed by architect Charles Gryson in 1935. It was commissioned by A. Defrenne, the director of a printing business. The architect wonderfully succeeded in merging the building’s residential and business functions. At present, the building houses the headquarters of the Cosmos centre for social welfare: an organisation that offers a wide range of services both for and by senior citizens, such as shopping assistance, foot care, inexpensive clothing, home delivery for those who are ill, and more.
