On the walls of the Botanique rotunda, you can admire a mural by Vincent Glowinski, aka Bonom. A forest painted in the old botanical garden. Bonom is known in Brussels for his murals... and his antics. Why? Because his murals, often challenging sexual taboos, are generally made illegally. The Botanique, a haven of the natural sciences since 1829, was gradually engulfed by real estate and urban ring roads. Its rebirth came when it was transformed into a cultural centre in 1984. Since then, the plants have decreased in number, but concerts and exhibitions attracting large crowds have multiplied. A miracle!
