Komplot is an open space for contemporary art. Since its founding in 2002, the curatorial collective KOMPLOT has been presenting a cultural program featuring exhibitions, discussions, workshops, and meetings. Komplot was founded in 2002. Its founder created the space as a “plot” to counter the idea of the singular curator, infiltrating galleries and museums while fostering an experimental spirit. Komplot was nomadic until 2019, when it settled in Anderlecht, an emerging neighborhood with affordable rents, artist studios, and artist-run spaces. For a time, it was located in a social housing block with a community garden, which strengthened its ethos of participation, collaboration, and socially engaged practices. Now, Komplot operates in a new space, aiming to better overcome language barriers and bring communities together in Brussels while seeking to expand external collaborations.
