La Ferme Rose - the Pink Farm - bears witness to the rural past of Uccle. It dates back to the 13th century. In the late 19th century, to boost its profitability, it was transformed into a dairy farm and a small café was added, where people danced and drank more than just milk. In the early 20th century, farming in the city proved impossible and a small open-air theatre opened its doors. Today the building is owned by the municipality and hosts a variety of cultural activities: exhibitions, concerts and artists’ residencies. La vie en rose, quite literally.
