Twenty-seven years ago, Patrick Lancz, member of the Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers of Belgium, opened his first gallery in the heart of the Brussels antique retail district, Le Sablon. As a fervent admirer of the Belgian School, he initially specialized in the Impressionism, Symbolism, Neo-Impressionism and Fauvisism, from the years 1870 to 1920, to then expand his expertise to the avant-gardes of the 1920s and 1930s as well as post-war abstraction. Recently, the gallery has also extended its selection to international artists, giving priority to those who have maintained links with Belgium. If the Lancz Gallery continues to enrich the list of artists presented, we remain faithful to our primary commitment to Belgian art, which we intend to promote and showcase, through a strong selection of quality works, harmoniously combined with a period framing.
