After having admired the sacred Art Deco of the Saint Augustine church, we get this glimpse of industrial Art Deco at the former electric motor factory ’La Magnéto belge’ (1941). Industrial sites are often destined for demolition, especially when they are located in the city centre. This is a happy exception. The façade is very geometric, with the administration building with its concave bay on the left and the workshops on the right. At the time, electric motors were high-tech. And to this day, they continue to fascinate us.
