Arc-en-Ciel is a work by Mauro Staccioli, a renowned Italian artist who specialises in giant sculptures with pure geometric shapes: squares, rings and, as you can see here, an arc of a circle, made in 2003 from Corten steel, also known as weathering steel. This type of steel is, as its name suggests, weatherproof. The work is magnificently positioned in the park so as to offer unobstructed views of the imposing outline of the Law Courts.
