Explore this lovely hilly area. Until 1920, the park was privately owned. The castle below dates from the 18th century. Today, it houses the Uccle School of Arts. A little further up is a Louis XV pavilion. Did the King of France pass through here? Not at all. It’s nothing but a whim of the rich. This pavilion was originally in Amsterdam. In 1909, Baron Janssen, the owner of the park, fell in love with it on one of his walks. He had it dismantled and rebuilt here. We could say it was the IKEA-style furniture of yesteryear.
