This white and bright villa was commissioned by Mr Vandevelde. The architect was Adrien Blomme, a master of Art Deco. What makes this building from 1936 so exceptional is the number of windows and their size. A technical feat. The façade, white and understated, features elegant straight lines, with a few curves here and there. The interior, flooded with light, features dazzling mosaics which have been perfectly preserved. But you won't see any of it unless you're a high-ranking official as the villa now houses the headquarters of the French Delegation to NATO. It is often bombarded, thankfully only by avid photographers.
