Whether it's raining, windy or the middle of winter, indoor shopping offers comfort, convenience and an enjoyable experience all year round. In stylish shopping galleries and modern malls, you can stroll from boutique to flagship store, dry and relaxed, with everything conveniently located under one roof. No messing around with umbrellas or putting your coat on and taking it off: here, it's all about carefree enjoyment.

Shopping galleries

Tip: Enjoy a spot of retail therapy in one of our city's covered shopping arcades. These architectural gems are part of our heritage and they'll keep you out of the elements! The most famous ones are the Royal Saint Hubert Galleries. These prestigious galleries, inaugurated in 1847, are some of the oldest shopping galleries in the world. These covered halls offer a glove shop, a hat shop, leather goods, a multi-brand boutique, a concept store and a number of gourmet addresses.

The Passage du Nord, Galerie Bortier and Ravenstein gallery are also well worth a visit!

Shopping centres

Is the weather raining on your parade? Or do you just prefer to have everything under one roof? There are a number of shopping centres dotted around the capital where you can indulge in a little shopping in complete peace of mind. Head to City 2 and Anspach Shopping in the city centre or to the Galerie Toison d'Or in the upper part of town. There’s Woluwé Shopping Centre in the east, Westland Shopping Centre in the west and Basilix Shopping Center in the North. Last but not least, Docks Bruxsel - an interweaving of buildings with different, eco-responsible architectural styles - lies along the banks of Brussels' canal.
