About the artwork:
The Crystal Womb installation is a live-generated interactive and immersive audiovisual experience, centred on a square bifrustum - a geometric shape - that reveals a fragment of a parallel virtual reality. Eight virtual cameras project images to form a levitating hologram, inspired by Pepper's Ghost, an optical illusion technique often used in magic tricks. Visitors are first confronted with a chaotic storm of particles and abrasive noises, which then turn into a human embryo. The work evolves from chaos and desolation to fragility and renewal, inviting you to reflect.
