About the artwork:

Triple Jet reappropriates the Manneken-Pis and elevates it to a monumental scale, reaffirming one of Brussels’ most beloved emblems as a gesture of collective identity. At a time when globalisation tends to homogenise cities and standardise their visual languages, the work asserts the singularity of each urban context and the people who inhabit it. This popular icon, transformed into a sculpture of light, activates a renewed reading of public space. More than illuminating, the piece invites encounter, reflection and belonging, opening a place where the diverse perspectives that shape Brussels can feel part of a shared landscape.

About the artists:

Ricardo Morcillo is a light artist and critic. His work explores the relationship between light, space and digital media through immersive installations with a social and global dimension. Trained in Architecture (University of Alicante) and Lighting Design (Hogeschool van Amsterdam), he combines his artistic practice with teaching and specialised writing on light culture as co-editor of Lightecture. A Senior Professional Member of APDI, he has presented his work at international festivals such as Noor Riyadh, Invisible Cities Bremen and LUZ Madrid.

Sergio Ramos Ruiz is an architect specialising in tactical urbanism and urban regeneration processes approached from integrated and participatory perspectives. Through PINBALL – the network-based practice he founded in 2015 – he develops collaborative projects that consider the city as a living environment where design, community and social transformation converge. His work ranges from public-space activation and heritage rehabilitation to large-scale event planning. He has been recognised in international competitions and teaches at the Murcia School of Design (EDI).
