An agent knocked down by a rascal along the canal. And not accidentally! The canal rascal, in the Brussels dialect known as vaartkapoen, refers to the bad boys who teased the local boatmen. Tom Frantzen's work (1985) illustrates the mocking of the authorities - a movement he nicely brought to life, with a humorous touch. It is reminiscent of the dazed Agent 15 from Hergé's Quick and Flupke series, which is full of mishaps. On this quay, we are catapulted into the Brussels jactance, locally known as zwanze.
