M.CHUZI
Worldly afro groove sauce from Brussels
Brussels band M.CHUZI opened the magnificent Green Stage at Couleur Café 2023 this summer. It was the ideal home game for a plentiful and enthusiastic audience. This 8-member groove machine and Sound Track finalist is quite simply the musical manifestation of a funky Brussels fusion. They perform a spicy combination of afro-grooves, funk, prog jazz, and the spacy soundscape of our favourite capital. Drummer Jan Heirman and bassist Man Niels d’Haegheleer form the foundation, chef sauciers Basile Bourtembourg (keys), guitarists Gil Duarte Da Cruz and Thomas De Vries spice it all up. The ultimate thickening agent is provided by the horn section with Mattéo Badet (tenor sax), Robbe Latré (trumpet & bugle), and Martin Lissoir (baritone sax). Connoisseurs will no doubt recognize members from the likes of Okkupeerder, Tommy Green & The Blues Machine, Azmari, and NAFT. M.CHUZI’s first album PAPARA was released in November 2022 on Sdban Ultra. Be sure to listen to tasty tracks like Tzatziki, Carbonade, Pickles or Sambal as appetisers for a feisty Brussels party like you’ll rarely experience.

We are thrilled to introduce you to one of the brightest talents of his generation, Gert-Jan Dreessen. Bram De Looze has emerged as one of the leading pianists of his generation, captivating audiences both as a solo artist and with ensembles like MiXMONK (alongside Robin Verheyen and Joey Baron). Jean-Paul Estiévenart navigates the world of Belgian jazz with agility and virtuosity, earning recognition as the most in-demand trumpeter of the past decade. Cyrille Obermüller, known for his work with HAST, the Bruno Vansina Quintet, and Nabou Claerhout's Trombone Ensemble, has quickly become the rhythmic backbone of numerous bands.
Together, these musicians possess the skill and charisma to elevate Dreessen's compositions, which feature captivating melodies and daring rhythmic twists, to new heights.

Cory Wong featuring Antwaun Stanley
He serves up a masterclass in funk...
Cory Wong is making his rise in music from out of Minneapolis. Not unimportant to know: Wong learned the tricks of the funk trade while playing aside Prince and the New Power Generation musicians Michael Bland and Sonny T. During one of their weekly sessions. With his first album he introduced the world to his funky, infectiously upbeat, and playful songs. Along with his music videos, Cory’s music feels retro and futuristic at the same time. His latest album ‘Power Station’ is his most recent tour de force.May the funk be with you!

THOMAS GRIMMONPREZ TRIO «INDIGO» + Jazz Jam Session
Wajdi Riahi (piano), Victor foulon (bass), Thomas grimmonprez (drums & compositions) After “Big Wheel”, I’m continuing on my path as drummer-leader in the form of a trio.Wishing to reveal a new facet of my sound identity, I have created a repertoire based on the color indigo. At first glance, the color blue tinges with violet, but it’s also a denomination for sensitive, creative people.Driven by these two ideas, I’ve composed sound canvases within which I invite the listener to travel. This new project takes off thanks to the talent of musicians, free of any aesthetic dogmatism, who have agreed to put their talent at the service of my compositions.Particularly attached to sharing emotions with the public,This new line-up develops a singular sound identity.
