And that’s a good thing, because what's more satisfying than pulling a new record out of its sleeve? A new one, perhaps, from one of these record stores. 

Doctor Vinyl

For the true 'Sound of Belgium', you have to visit Doctor Vinyl! Are you a slave to the beat? Then this shop, located on place Saint Géry, is the place for you. Whether you're looking for techno, (deep) house, breaks, acid, new beat, broken beat... there's sweet medicine to be found on the shelves of this musical doctor’s practice!

Arlequin Records

Arlequin Records is one of the oldest record stores in Brussels. Dive into their colourful mix of diverse genres including rock, soul, reggae, disco, jazz, hip-hop, French chanson and new wave. And if you need help, their staff are on hand to give you advice. They know their stuff, too, because they've been working there since the 80s!

Crevette Records

Crevette Records offers you an excellent selection of new and used vinyl. They also sell DJ accessories, magazines, merchandise, etc. In short, Crevette is a one-stop shop. You'll feel at home right away!

72 Records

Are you a fan of heavy guitar riffs, nihilistic lyrics and dark album covers? Then you must visit 72 Records! This record shop on rue du Midi specialises mainly in heavy music genres from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

We Insist

Passionate about music and literature, Joël and Marc wanted to create the shop of their dreams and welcome a whole community of enthusiasts. At We Insist, carefully selected records are displayed alongside books and new releases alongside second-hand items. The shop also hosts exhibitions and aperitifs.

Caroline Music

From commercial pop music to experimental jazz, and from second hand to fresh from the press... Caroline Music has it all. This record shop, on Boulevard Anspach (opposite Ancienne Belgique), is a household name in Brussels. The shop window alone will make your musical heart beat faster.

[CHEZ PIAS]

The renowned Belgian record label, housed in the functionalist building which was originally home to socialist cooperatives, has its own vinyl shop. Here you'll find albums by artists produced by [PIAS]. The shop also organises concerts and events to coincide with album releases.

La boîte à musique

La boîte à musique, is THE classical music specialist in Brussels. The shop - a certified Belgian Royal Warrant holder since 1994 - has been around since the 1930s and has adapted to the market and the evolution of music formats over the decades. Inside, the staff bend over backwards to respond to customers' requests as best they can. They have a knack of unearthing musical gems on the basis of very limited leads. Now that's expertise! While the shop primarily focuses on CDs, you'll also find vinyls, Blu-rays, box sets, etc.
