The South of Brussels, bursting with bike shops

Judging by the number of bike shops, the South of our capital is a popular area with cyclists. Here are some of the best spots to check out.

Bike Square

Here, you’ll be welcomed by true cycling enthusiasts, who provide expert advice for choosing your bike and accessories and keeping them in good condition. The repair workshop, available by appointment, will impress you with its speedy turnaround times and the quality of its work. Bike Square also offers an electric bike rental service.

Les Ateliers de la rue Voot

Bicycles are this non-profit's bread and butter. It offers a wide range of services: workshops and training courses in bicycle mechanics, building a bike from scratch, bike hire, organising cycling events in schools, and even teaching people how to ride a bike (the ‘Vélo Solidaire’ programme). Les Ateliers de la rue Voot is a real showcase for cycling, accessible to all!

This shop has everything: new classic bikes – city bikes, hybrid bikes, mountain bikes, folding bikes, children’s bikes, etc. – alongside electric bikes and second-hand bikes. L’Atelier du Vélo

As its name would suggest, this workshop does not sell bicycles, choosing instead to focus on repairs and maintenance. As a specialist in urban mobility, l'Atelier du Vélo prioritises safety, reliability and honesty. City bikes, cargo bikes, family bikes and other electric bikes get the attention and care they deserve here, with practical and long-lasting repairs.
