Tattoo parlours in Brussels: the best places to get inked

03 September 2026

With its well-established parlours and new studios, Brussels attracts tattoo enthusiasts and curious people looking for a rock n' roll souvenir. Good news: whether you're team discreet fine line, a fan of ultra-graphic blackwork or a hyper-colourful Japanese cuff, Brussels is full of talented artists and spots where you can get tattooed with confidence. The subtle and benevolent charm of the capital is reflected even in these sometimes hybrid places.

Some of the capital’s best:

You can’t talk about tattooing in Brussels without mentioning Purple Sun, located on rue Blaes, in the heart of the Marolles. This parlour ticks all the boxes: warm atmosphere, ultra professional artists and unique graphics. Its real strength? A homey atmosphere. You might come to it stressed... but you’ll leave wishing that the session could have gone one for ever.

Another gem: Room 38. Nestled in the historic Grand Hospice, this studio offers probably one of the coolest settings in Brussels. Its ultra-assertive universe led by two friends and talented artists sets it apart. Edu Gago works with Gothic and Baroque influences in classic print-making mode, while Il.est.libre mixes abstract textures and Japanese inspirations. The result: pieces that look more like works of art than simple tattoos.

For those who like hybrid places where you can drink a coffee before getting a tattoo, head to Disco Fever Tattoo, on place De Brouckère. Located in the Continental building, a Brussels heritage treasure, this spot mixes tattoos, music, vintage fashion and creative culture. Their collective energy is a real selling point. You enter for a tattoo... and often end up staying for the atmosphere. It's like a therapy session!

La Boucherie Moderne remains a benchmark on the Brussels’ tattoo scene. Located on place du Jeu de Balle, this studio brings together a dozen artists with various styles: hand poke, fantasy, psychedelic, floral, medieval... What makes it different? Its resolutely rock n' roll DNA: tattooing is becoming a way of life.

A stone's throw from the Grand-Place, Manouche Caravane appeals to lovers of stylistic diversity. Old school, neo-traditional, surrealism, floral or lettering: here, every tattoo artist has his or her speciality. The big advantage of the studio is precisely this ability to match each client with the ideal artist. A bit like Tinder... but here, no one is ghosted.

Also in the city centre, Mystical Bodies has been an institution since 1999. Tattoos, piercings, dental jewellery: they celebrates all forms of body expression in an inclusive and multicultural atmosphere. No matter your style, gender or tattoo experience, there is something for everyone.

In Ixelles, Studio Mora has a much softer and more intimate vibe. Founded by Mei and Jeanne, the studio relies on an eco-responsible approach, creative flash days and, above all, a safe and soothing space for all. It’s the perfect place for a first, pressure-free tattoo experience.

Folie Douce Atelier, located on place Flagey, is a little cocoon of good vibes punctuated by the Alexa playlist (if you know, you know). Monsieur Charles and his colourful universe, Lia November and her recognisable illustrations or Mab and her feline tattoos will steal your heart. Top tip: they regularly organise Flash Days.

Still in Ixelles, Because breaks the codes of traditional studio with its vegan and ultra-warm approach. They have established themselves as a reference for fine and refined tattoos. What sets them apart? A real vision of ethical and modern tattooing, free of judgment and 100% feel good.

For lovers of large Polynesian or tribal pieces, Perle Noire in Auderghem impresses with the precision of its compositions. Jerome Tineca's creations play with body sizes and symbolic details to create powerful, timeless and storied tattoos.

Last but not least, the inescapable Minus Tattoo. Here, minimalism is king. The private studio specialises in fine and delicate tattoos, designed as small works of art that stand the test of time. Subtle tattoos that are the basis of its incredible success (you have to fight to get an appointment!). And for more delicate tattoos, book an appointment with Mert Coskun. Originally from Istanbul, Mert specialises in fine line and movement-inspired tattoos, created using extra-fine needles. Combining technical precision with creativity, his designs naturally follow the lines and contours of the body.
