Bois de La Cambre avec vue en arrière plan sur le chalet Robinson

When it comes to eating out, we rarely think of going to one of the capital's green spaces. But imagine the serenity of these magical places, where you can be seated outside in the summer or warm and sheltered from the elements in less clement weather. A chalet or terrace in the summer sun, away from the hustle and bustle, or a wood fire and cosy winter atmosphere... We have selected some of the best addresses to enjoy in nature!

Chalet Robinson – Bois de la Cambre

The Chalet Robinson experience is a delight even before you sit down to eat. The only way to reach the chalet is by small boat, which will take you to the little island on which the restaurant is located. Once you’ve disembarked, you’ll discover this genuine little corner of paradise. The spacious chalet and its large terrace welcome you into an authentic and cosy setting. The brasserie-style menu features fresh, local, high-quality produce. Perfect before or after a long walk in the woods!

Le Flore – Bois de la Cambre

The Bois de la Cambre has a second address for dining, this time, on the mainland: Le Flore. Nestled in a charming green setting, this establishment places a strong emphasis on its warm and welcoming atmosphere. With a comforting cocoon inside and two green terraces outside, they offer all-you-can-eat barbecue buffets in summer and fondue in the winter. They even host after-work dos and stand-up parties. It’s a genuine, enchanted interlude in an iconic location in the capital!

Brasserie de la Patinoire – Bois de la Cambre

It is probably no coincidence that the Bois de la Cambre has so many culinary addresses... Proof, if any were needed, that it’s ultra trendy. Brasserie de la Patinoire invites you, in a distinguished indoor setting or on its spacious terrace, to enjoy exquisitely crafted dishes, with an emphasis on seafood. The main brasserie is also flanked by an annex: L'écailler de la Patinoire, offering the finest oysters and other shellfish, to take away or eat on the spot.

La Villa – Forest Park

Nestled not far from Brussels' highest point and featuring a rolling landscape that has given rise to numerous natural terraces, this enchanting green space has so much to charm you. In particular, it boasts a restaurant that is just as pleasant in the winter as it is in the warmer months, thanks to its many glass-panelled French windows and the canopy covering its rear terrace. As for the menu, La Villa offers brasserie classics but also snacks to share and balanced dishes for children.

Chaudron – La Pède Park

Located on the edga of the Brussels-Capital Region, less than 10km from the Grand-Place, La Ferme du Chaudron is a little universe all of its own, with a restaurant, a grocery shop, an educational farm, etc. Chaudron is a circular and socially responsible restaurant: everything on the menu is produced on site, and the proceeds are used to provide meals for those in need. The menu changes regularly and focuses on refined cuisine.

La Laiterie – Josaphat Park

This is without doubt a haven of tranquillity in Schaerbeek. Tucked away in a park with varying terrain and breathtaking diversity, next to a small stream bearing the name of the commune, La Laiterie will have no trouble convincing you to pop in for a gourmet break. Both the interior and exterior, cosy in the best possible way, await you with simple, entirely homemade dishes! Pancakes (only at weekends), burgers, fish and chips, salads and toasties... there’s something for everyone.

Brasserie des Étangs Mellaerts – Étangs Mellaerts Park

This picturesque park in the south of the capital runs along the Woluwe Valley, which explains the abundance of ponds in the area. The eponymous brasserie boasts an idyllic location, and its fully glazed building ensures that you feel completely immersed in the natural surroundings as you enjoy your meal. They even have a heated terrace. When it comes to food, variety is the order of the day, with a wide selection of meat, fish and pasta dishes, along with vegetarian options.
