The vintage scene is celebrated in many of Brussels' neighbourhoods. Second-hand boutiques and antiques dealers are bursting with design and fashion treasures from the 1920s all the way up to the 1990s.

Everything can be recycled and transformed and given a new lease of life. But the capital's vintage charm doesn't stop there. Brussels hosts numerous events that offer up the perfect chance for some treasure hunting.  Are you in love with retro styles and trends and looking for a rare gem? Here's a selection of places you must visit!

Vintage clothes boutiques

Looking for pieces by big names at small prices? Are you nostalgic for the retro look or a fan of out of the ordinary wardrobes? In Brussels we have the perfect places to find those clothes, shoes and accessories that you've been dreaming of.

  • Ramon & Valy

  • Brussels' Flea Market

The flea market on Place du Jeu de Balle is a favourite hunting ground for those in search of their dream item. Don't hesitate to get there early to uncover that rare gem. More than 500 stalls are set up every day from 8:00 to 14:00 in a warm atmosphere. There's no other flea market like it in Brussels.

  • Brussels Vintage Market 

Le Brussels Vintage Market welcomes close to 1,000 visitors to each edition. It's a great place to do some Sunday shopping in an original setting or just have a drink or a meal with friends on a terrace, in a retro musical atmosphere. 
When: every first Sunday of the month, from 10:00 to 18:00

  • Brussels Design Market 

Brussels Design Market, is some hundred exhibitors, professionals and knowledgeable amateurs from Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, etc. They sell their furniture and objects from the 50s, 60s, 70s and early 80s in a relaxed, market atmosphere. 
When: every year, in March/April and September
